Tyrol is the seventh federal state on WohnAlert – filtered by its nine districts from Reutte to Lienz, with Innsbruck as a city and Innsbruck-Land listed separately alongside. Which landlords does WohnAlert monitor in Tirol?

Frieden, Alpenländische and TIGEWOSI. The large Tyrolean housing associations allocate their rental flats through the municipalities' housing allocation – registering on the waiting list there pays off.

Why are there so few flats?

Because hardly any subsidised rental flat in Tirol is advertised publicly. We monitor all the pages where it does happen and report each one immediately.

What can I filter by?

By the nine districts; Innsbruck is listed as a city in its own right. The postcode in the listing assigns the flat – the table comes from the official lists of Statistik Austria.

Do I need a WBS?

No – there is no WBS (housing entitlement certificate) in Austria. Subsidised flats have income limits, and there is usually a financing contribution that is partly refunded when you move out.

What does the rent shown mean?

The total rent including operating costs and VAT, as stated by the housing association.
