Any more questions?

The key answers at a glance.

In which federal states is WohnAlert available?

In all nine federal states. Vienna, Lower Austria, Styria, Upper Austria, Burgenland, Salzburg, Carinthia and Tyrol have their own area selection, plus Graz. In Vorarlberg, the housing associations mostly allocate via the municipalities, and public listings are rare – right now 1 flat is online there. You'll find it in the overview of all housing associations.

What is a subsidised flat?

A flat from a limited-profit housing association or a cooperative: the rent covers costs rather than following market rates; in return you pay a one-off upfront contribution when you move in (financing contribution, cooperative share) and your income must be below a limit. There is no housing entitlement certificate (WBS) as in Germany.

How much does WohnAlert cost?

The Basic plan is free and has no ads. Notifications arrive two hours after discovery. Premium is planned and cannot be booked yet.

Where do the flats come from?

Directly from the official websites of the housing associations and cooperatives – no portals, no reposting. WohnAlert checks the sources every minute and links each flat to the original listing.

How fast am I?

The Basic plan reports new flats two hours after they are discovered. WohnAlert links to the original listing on the housing association's website; there you'll see the current application requirements.
